§02 — Craft
Cold does not come through the glass.
A new window can still let in air, damp and noise. Not through the glass — around the edge, between the frame and the wall. That few-centimetre strip decides the comfort, and it is the part we take care of.

“There is a draught next to the window”
Air travels through the joint that runs around the frame. We fill it with no gaps and close it on both sides: vapour barrier inside, membrane outside.

“Condensation, then black marks”
Cold runs around the frame and damp settles in the same place. A properly insulated edge keeps the reveal above dew point — no condensation, no mould.
- 03
“The reveal cracked within a year”
Finishing laid straight onto a joint that moves splits in the first winter. We let the joint move and finish over it: silicone, wood or plasterboard.
